Lil' Dean Fam

For Spring Break this year we drove to California to spend a few days in San Diego.  We saw Sea World and visited with family.  We enjoyed some good Mexican food and sunshine.  It was nice to get away for a little while and visit with my grandparents.   Kambrea came over to play, my boys loved giving her lots of attention.   We picked oranges and lemons and made lemonade and orange juice.   We took grandpa and grandma out to lunch We sopped by the house my dad is working on. We got together with Karen and Marsha and their kids.  It was a quick trip but it was much needed and we had a great time. 

Last time we came to Sea World, our family looked like this.   Needless to say, it had been a long time and I was excited to take the boys to see Sea World for Spring Break.   The first thing we did was saw the dolphins.  They were lively and active in the morning.  The boys loved watching them swim around and play.   The otters are right next to the dolphins so we listened to a presentation about the otters and then went back to get up close with the dolphins.   The boys loved seeing the dolphins so close.  After that we went to see the bat rays.  They had a lot of fun watching them swim and trying to feed them some fish.   We saw the sea lions  and seals checked out some of the smaller aquariums and we watched the orca show  walrus sea turtle orcas and dolphin shows We had a great day exploring Sea Wo...

Tuesday, June 28 we loaded up the Pilot and headed to the beach.  We camped at South Carlsbad State beach until July 3.  Colin came in on the second and we all left for Vegas on the 3rd.  We finished the drive home on the 4th and celebrated with the McNew family in Utah.  Beach camp this year was awesome. We all had such a great time.  We had too much sun, too much food, and so many cousins to play with!  As great as it is for my kids to play with lots of cousins, I love hanging out with my own cousins just as much! Huge shout out to Linda, Jean, Karen, Marsha, and Tessa for letting us tag along yet again. I made an iMovie so watch that for all of our photos and videos.

We had a nice time visiting with Grandma and Grandpa at their house in Blossom Valley before heading out to the beach.  We played a lot with cousin Brady and met up twice at the house on Limon for swim parties.  It's so nice to have lots of cousins to play with!   We found a Geocache at Lake Jennings I wish I had been quicker with my camera on this one!  The boys both grabbed grandma's arm and were helping her to the car! So cute.  I took the boys to one of my favorite places: Yogurt Mill.  It had been ages since I'd been there.  It was really crowded and just as small and cute as I remember it.  I seem to remember the yogurt was much cheaper when I was  a kid though...
