On our way to California this summer we stopped in Las Vegas for the night.  Colin left for his initial visit to Singapore on the same day we left for California.  He's there working and getting a jump-start on setting up our future lives.  Katie, the boys and I drove down to Vegas on Thursday night and stayed at the Luxor.  The boys loved the hotel and I thought it was pretty cool too.  We arrived with enough time to check out Vegas a little.  Katie had never seen a Cirque du Solei show so she went on our recommendation to Ka at the MGM grand.  I think she loved it just as much as we did and was glad she went.  Vegas was 106 degrees that afternoon we were walking around.  HOT, needless to say.  We walked down the entire strip and I'm such an idiot for putting the boys in flip flops and forgetting to have them change into sneakers.  We were all exhausted by the end of the strip so we caught a cab back to the hotel.  The next m...

I've always wondered what it felt like to have your dreams come true.  Just imagine something you've dreamed about, talked about, planned for, and hoped for; then one day, all of the sudden your dreams are coming true.  In the last couple of months, Colin and I have watched our dreams become a reality, right in front of our eyes.  We are excited.  He is thrilled!  I am nervous and worried.  It's definitely a bundle of emotions all mixed up into one.  It has definitely been a process and hasn't happened over night. This is my 699th post. Tomorrow, I'll post the 700th and it will be EPIC. That's a promise! On the Fourth of July we had plans to go to the water park in the morning but the weather was a bit dodgy so we decided to go to the West Jordan Parade instead.  Jessica's mother-in-law had saved some spots for us and we met up with them around 10:30 am.  Evan and I went, Ryan and Colin stayed home.  The parade was fun.  But watching Evan enjoy the parade was even more fun than that.  He was such a good kid the whole morning.  He never complained about the heat and he never begged for candy.  When the floats and things came by he would make his way to the front of the crowd, and wave.  So cute!
