Sea World

Our trip to Sea World was a lot of fun. Ryan really liked looking at all of the fish and other sea animals. We had a good time taking him around to all of the different exhibits and things. Here is the third installment of our trip to California. Pictures of the beach trip to follow.

A penguin did a nice belly flop for us. Ryan loved that and shrieked with laughter when he saw him jump in. I'm amazed I caught such a great picture of him.
Ryan kept telling the penguins, "I see you"! It was hilarious.

This is the seal and sea lion exhibit. It was feeding time so Colin bought some fish to feed the seals. It was really cool. One thing they told him when he bought the fish was to watch out for the birds.
This seal got 4 out of the 5 fish. The fifth was eaten by a scavenger seagull. It just about knocked us over swooping in to get the fish right out of Colin's hand.

The only show we did was Shamu, since it's the best. It was a lot of fun to see Shamu doing all of his big flips and splashes. And, the show was short enough to keep Ryan's attention- well, almost. He started saying, "shamu" half way through the show and the tourists from overseas behind us were really laughing. the whole family watching the Shamu show

Wow!! That looks like a ton of fun. It sure has changed a lot since I went there as a kid.

I love Sea World! Do they still have the Seal and Otter show? That was always our favorite back in the day. Looks like you had a ton of fun! Good luck with the first day of school today!

There is a Sea Lion and Otter show but it's a bit different. They also changed the water ski show to a Cirqe de la Mer show (neither of which we saw).
D track!!! I don't start for another three weeks. Haven't set foot in the school in a month!

How fun! Once again, Ryan looked like he was an absolute doll. I don't know that Cam would do that good. Is he still talking about it?
