29 weeks

I've subscribed to pregnancy weekly so I can get a little blurb about what's going on with the baby each week. I read a lot more with the first one, but it all seems so repetitive, so I haven't really read a whole lot this time around. Anyway, here's what the email says for today- 29 weeks.

This is day number 203 and you're 29 weeks pregnant! You have 77 days or 11 weeks left, and are 72.5% of the way there.Baby's age since conception is 189 days or 27 weeks. You are due on 3/29/2008.

Fetal Development
Your baby is now about 16.7 inches from head to toe, and weighs about 2.7 pounds. He or she continues to be active and grow; however, you may be feeling fewer kicks and punches. This is because even though your baby is getting larger and stronger, he or she also has less space in which to gain momentum for these movements. Your baby's blood is now being produced from the stem cells in its bone marrow.

At my last Dr. appointment on Monday, the OB performed the first non-stress-test and biophysical profile. I'm happy to say that everything looked really good with me and the baby. The doctor estimated his weight to be at about 3 pounds. He's measuring about a week and a half big, and that's normal for me (and diabetic pregnancies). The amniotic fluid was measured and is perfect. I had my blood drawn for an iron test and haven't gotten the results back yet although I've never been prone to anemia.

It was really funny when we were monitoring the baby because I was really worried about him for some reason, and he was just kicking away. He kept kicking the monitors away and rolling around inside my tummy. Once they got a good look at his heart rate it was very strong and doing all of the things they wanted to see, the doc was very pleased, and I felt relieved. We haven't gotten any ultrasound pictures recently, but I suppose I'll have to make an appointment to see the specialist at LD soon, so I'll post them when I get them.

So this week I've been thinking I might want to change the baby's name. We've had the name Evan Miles picked out and I really liked that. I also liked that it's a family name. I think it's a nice strong name and we both really like it.

Then... I was thinking about the name Liam. I really like the name Liam, and since I know I won't go full term, there is a good chance the baby could be born on St. Patrick's Day. Ryan's middle name is very strong Irish and Liam is the same kind of name. Anyway, we might just be changing the name to Evan Liam. Unless we decide to use that for the first name.

Should we do a vote?

I'll try to include a poll.

Evan Liam is a cute name. It is hard picking out names isn't? I am preggers again right now too and we
are searching for a cute name :-)

I have heard a LOT of people naming their boys Liam lately. Just a warning. It seems to be extremely trendy right now.

Congrats on such a healthy pregnancy. I know it's a lot of work and that it's totally worth it. Not too much longer...you can do it! Goooooo Jen!

So no one likes Liam. I suppose my first choice was best.

I can't decide; I like them all! Good luck picking one out! I'm going for my first official doctor's appointment tomorrow, and I'm 15 weeks pregnant. I'm so naughty.

I'm so glad baby and you are doing well! How's Ryan in all this? I found mine to be a little, well, a lot challenging. I had a hard time with naming number two also. I went with the method of what would sound best when he got in trouble, lol.

Liam, Like Liam Neeson??
I think I like that as the middle name best. Evan liam Dean would be cute.
