Adventures with my girls

Having Ryan (and Evan) at school all day has some unexpected perks.  I've never had the whole day at home to myself before without a job, kid, or volunteer assignment to take up the day.  So, I've been getting to know some friends and exploring some fun places in Singapore.

The other day, my friend wanted to get some tomatillos for her pork salads and we went on a wild goose chase looking for them.  But all in good fun.  Doesn't this produce look amazing. Yeah, don't worry, still plenty expensive here in the land of all things pricey.

Hey, look!  We found it!  Only took us three tries.

I went to lunch with a group of ladies from the ward.  We've all been here about the same amount of time.  Coming up on 6 months for us!  We went to a place in Chinatown called "the Noodle Man".
This is the noodle man.  He makes his own noodles, as you can see.  Sorry, this picture isn't very well focused, oops.  Anyway, it's a pretty incredible skill he's got there.  And the food was yummy!  And relatively cheap... by Singapore standards.
